Please feel free to distribute this newsletter, and if you know of anyone who would like to be added to this distribution list, please let me know.
Blue Ink is a product that provides the capability to instantly generate functionally complete, create, read, update, delete (CRUD) based applications, while additionally providing a new, faster, and more customer-centric, approach to development. When combined with the Just-In-Time Application Generation (JAG) methodology, Blue Ink is expected to cut development time by 50 to 75 percent!
Blue Ink currently provides the capability to generate functionally complete, database-driven, Microsoft™ .Net web applications and provides the means to instantly generate any type of database-driven application. Blue Ink is unique in that it is template based, which provides complete control over a generated application, and it allows for internal storage of business rules (through meta-data questions and answers), which helps separate business functionality and CRUD functionality.
Blue Ink is currently in a pre-beta version. We will complete a beta version of the product by the end of December, at which point we will begin a usability analysis. We will be seeking developers of all skill level wishing to take a paid position in the usability analysis – details and a sign-up application to come. We are planning an official release of The Blue Ink Product in the beginning of March. Please let us know if you have any projects that you would be willing to test a beta of Blue Ink on or if you have any projects that you would like to use a production version of Blue Ink with.
Blue Ink’s Just-In-Time Application Generation (JAG) Methodology is a new iterative approach to development that centers on application generation. A short, non-technical white paper on our website describes the process at a high level and helps explain how Blue Ink works. The white paper is available at http://www.blueink.biz/Products_JAG.aspx.
The next newsletter will provide a white paper describing Blue Ink Templates and Meta-Data Questions, which are the primary features that make Blue Ink unique. Next we will provide a sample generated application that we will make available on our website. Future white papers will describe the architecture of applications generated by Blue Ink's default .Net Template Solution, and the process for developing Blue Ink Templates and Meta-Data Questions.
